You’ve incorporated Jose Arguelles’ noosphere in your previous analysis of the shift in consciousness. As I read this article, I keep imagining how disappointed Christian Nationalists would be, if “the rapture” was open minded entrance into the noosphere. How they won’t be “raised up” if they remain willfully unconscious.

The present circumstances keeps drawing me back to Christopher Bache book , LSd and the Mind of the universe . Deeply worrying

". . . requires that we face the darkness within and surrender our egotism—and instead seek to kill the “other” on the physical battlefield. Their failure to do the hard work of integration and initiation now threatens all of us with ruin."

This is also about us all.

"We have seen the enemy, and them is us." --Pogo.

I think it is possible to process some of our shadow. IF we could do it all we would be consumed. So many go around who've done some of this work, and also do some projection.

Some say that this war is to distract us from the apocalyptic Epstein files. They reveal that the real separation is not of Evangelicals, or Democrats/Republicans, and etc., but about the rich and powerful elites and the rest of us. Are those elites untouchable? It looks that way to me.

The real war is a war of consciousness--realism vs analytical idealism. Technocracy enabling transhumanism. More on that another time.

Yes Don you are so correct 👏

Michael Raven's avatar

Your correct you can't do it all , but you can do it slowly as a daily practice and slowly your developing your ability to contain more of that energy on high, we do have inner sense organs we are all born with. However if you haven't allowed all of your 5 senses to be fully felt first you won't be able to fully feel and sense your higher senses...

Does that make sense?

Speaking as someone who was raised Evangelical (but lost my faith at 14), your analysis is spot on. People should be WAY more concerned about what’s going on.

64-Dionysus versus the Crucified

We all want to be individuals.

We can.

We really can.

We can.

Yes, we can.

And what could be better!

Nietzsche says: During the longest and most remote periods of

the human past, the sting of conscience was not at all what it

is now. Today one feels responsible only for one's will and

actions and one finds one's pride in oneself.

Yet during the longest period of the human past nothing was

more terrible than to feel that one stood by oneself. To be alone,

to experience things by oneself, neither to obey nor to rule, to be

an individual–that was not a pleasure but a punishment. One

was sentenced "to individuality.

Brilliant take, Daniel! I think we need to formulate a "popular" narrative like in Yaima's song "Freed from all the stories we've been told, we walk the valleys of our own shadows" ... and use the ground/bottom of personal meaning which we find/uncover there to build a new "Trinity" of JOY, HUMANENESS (as Nietzsche has elaborated in Menschliches Allzumenschliches), LOVE ... and use it as a personal ontological starting point for the future.

“We seem to be undergoing a metamorphosis in our relationship to time, consciousness, and being. “

Yes , and it’s great that you are able to slide from micro to macro , from the zeitgeist to the ages , as we think about these things ,

I would appreciate

More insights on what is needed to integrate a shadow ,

On any level ,

It’s sickening how absolutely ignorant Trump and his cronies are. And wrong. The Book of Revelation is not about the future. It’s about the past, specifically the 1st century under Caeser Nero . Gobsmacking childish!

And you didn’t even mention the red heifer sacrifice.

I’ve always had the sense that a large % of the most conservative are projecting shadow. One thing you didn’t mention- gay and trans rights- I bet many of the ultra conservative-grasping folk are simply closeted

Adam Hanson's avatar

In some ways yes, but it’s also a deep fear that if their children happen to be LGBTQ*, it means their bloodline dies out, forgetting that even as society is generally moving towards more accepting (despite minor setbacks) and thus less reasons to be closeted, same sex/gender non-conforming behavior is still remarkably rare and usually manifests in only 1-2 children in a family unit, if at all

There is a chilling battlefield moment in the Bhagawad Gita, the epic poem within the Mahabharata ("The Great War"), when Arjuna, the warrior-prince and ace archer, challenges his charioteer Krishna to prove he is God—because Krishna has been trying to persuade Arjuna that it is his divine duty to fight against a band of his evil cousins, and Arjuna is not convinced. Krishna responds to Arjuna's juvenile challenge with a roar of laughter. Suddenly Arjuna is terrified, for inside Lord Krishna's mouth he sees the brightness of a thousand suns—the same scene Robert Oppenheimer evoked upon witnessing the first atomic test explosion on July 16, 1945, recalling this line from the Gita: "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

I was thinking of the exact scene from the Bhadavad Gita that you describe when reading this article as well. Cheers!

Always finding lessons in your essays. The last paragraph is significant, but it raises a queston. How would the majority of left/liberals hold up to this standard of inner transformative, ego-transcending process?

Michael Raven's avatar

Alan all that is needed to turn this thing around are 17 million enlighten ones collectively coming together who have dealt with there egos and are healthy who see from "on high" we just all need to come together in one place 😉

The ones who have faced there darkness and live on the other side.

Thank you for putting into words what ails us beyond the immediate events. I believe it is the modern hyper emphasis on the individual that blocks the ability to be humble and allow the partial death of the ego and instead builds elaborate internal structures to justify abusive behavior to protect the fragile ego.
