Everything You Wanted to Know about the Occult (But Were Afraid to Ask)
'Wait, What?!' episode 2 is now out!
Comedian Krystyna Hutchinson and I just released the second episode of our ‘Wait, What?!’ podcast. This episode features the two of us chatting with each other about a range of topics. Later on, we interview many characters — psychics, channels, ET experts, psychedelic researchers, and so on. Listening to this episode again, I feel happy that I gave quite a comprehensive overview of my past reflections and direct experiences of occult, esoteric, psychedelic, and paranormal phenomena. We discussed DMT, crop circles, the Illuminati, UFOs, initiation, prophecy, and many other topics I still find incredibly fascinating. Please check it out, subscribe and “like” (if you don’t mind) which helps us grow our channel and build this project.
We chose to launch the podcast now partly because we realized that the runaway success of ‘The Telepathy Tapes’ reveals a cultural hunger for deeper exploration of psychic and paranormal topics. With everything happening in the U.S. and the world right now, it seems a great time to focus on the inner planes of consciousness, visionary and mystical exploration. I hope you enjoy this episode! Please let us know what you think in the comments on YouTube.
By the way, if you find yourself fascinated by the occult and esoteric and you want to go deeper, there is still time to join our seminar on the Austrian visionary philosopher Rudolf Steiner. It started last Saturday and runs for a month. You can find out all info about it at www.liminal.news . Reduced price and scholarship tickets available — just message us at hello@liminal.news or message me here on Substack.

Hi Daniel,
I didn’t see a post for the first podcast, so I’ll post this here. I was very intrigued by a casual remark you made around 7:22 about seeing the spirit of Ibugo as a wooden statue walking across the room. Was there an actual wooden statue in the ceremony room that seemed to come to life, or was that simply the form the visionary presence took?
I ask because Wouter Hanegraaff’s recent Hermetic Spirituality and the Historical Imagination: Altered States of Knowledge in Late Antiquity discusses statues of the gods coming to life during theurgic ceremonies. Do you cover your Ibugo experience in more detail in your book?
Thanks!
Troy
