Z War, Prophecy, Putin, and 5-MeO-DMT
Could the realization that we are an "infinite no-thing" put an end to future wars?
From the perspective of anyone who has taken many psychedelic journeys, Russia’s war on Ukraine seems even more insane than it does from a “normal” or “sane” viewpoint. All wars are forms of insanity, but Putin’s Z War is particularly insane because it is based on something inherently meaningless: A conceptual abstraction.
There was no need for this destruction, this agony. Ukraine posed no immediate physical danger to Russia. If anything, Russia had been steadily advancing in the world over the last decades. Putin was even doing a brilliant job of undermining Western Democracy on the cheap, with Russian hackers, bots, and disinformation campaigns. In fact, by unleashing Z War on Ukraine, Putin has put Russia into peril—along with the world as a whole. He seems to have willfully embarked on a suicide mission for himself, Russia, and potentially all of us.
Putin launched Z War because he holds the concept of the Russian State as some kind of “thing” that needs to do something — it is not enough just to continue exist as it is. He believes it is his destiny to recapture Russia’s lost “greatness,” its "sphere of influence,” even recreate the “Eurasian” empire all the way to Germany or beyond. He believes he has “scores to settle” — more concepts — from the past. He seeks vengeance against those who he feels humiliated Russia when it was down, such as the United States, NATO, and the Ukrainian people as a whole. All of this is, obviously, childish in the extreme. It would be pathetic if the consequences weren’t so horrific.
It is difficult to fathom how Putin is able to rationalize this systemic violence — this mass slaughter — waged against people from the same ethnic and cultural background as his own subjects in Russia. It doesn’t excuse him in any way to say that he is a psychopath — he is, after all, a highly functional psychopath. Or he was, up until this point.
It is indeed possible that the continued existence of Ukraine as a functional liberal Democracy posed a long-term threat to Russia. Not in a military sense, but simply because other Russian provinces might, over time, prefer the Ukrainian model — to be able to determine their own political and cultural destiny instead of being stifled under a dictatorship. The Kremlin apparently feared that, if they left Ukraine alone, it might lead to the eventual collapse of Russia into a commonwealth, much like the EU. But if that turned out to be the case, so what?
I suspect this war is the result of unintegrated psycho-historical trauma. When it comes to its tragic past, humanity seems to have a repetition-compulsion. Entire societies can act in the same way as individuals when they perpetuate unconscious family patterns via addictions, depressions, and suicides. Russia’s trauma-switch flicked back on as the Holocaust faded from living memory. Putinist Russia unconsciously seeks to replicate the hideous, familiar barbarism of the Nazi and Soviet era, seventy years after the fact — perhaps even take it further. Because that suffering is what it knows.
Putin is among the wealthiest men in the world. He could be enjoying himself instead of living in a hyper-vigilant state of murderous vengefulness, stress and paranoia. He could have spent his sunset years floating on the high seas, hosting amazing parties on his $600 million yacht with numerous mistresses and oligarch buddies, reading philosophy and practicing Judo or psychedelic Tantra. Instead, he chose to invade Ukraine, smash the fragile world order, and turn his own nation into a totalitarian hellhole where constant propaganda and criminalization of dissent have pulverized the masses into mindless pulp.
Some are addicted to sex or drugs or luxuries. Putin is addicted to power. Apparently, he needs to mainline more and more of it to reach the same high.
I found what I couldn’t quite articulate but felt that I needed to say about Putinism and Z War in some posts about 5-MeO-DMT by Issa Mariska Karuna on a Facebook forum. She writes:
Like no other entheogen 5M offers the direct experience of everything to be no-thing, whether it is an apparent being or concept (thought). The unreality of all appearances becomes clear as the underlying reality of there not being separate events and beings (thinkers) with particular conditions is experienced repeatedly.
Any concept arising concerning 5-MeO-DMT, like conditions about how it should be administered or who should facilitate it and how, is just that: a concept.
I would like to hear from others if they have similar experiences of a steady expansion of freedom, and release of fears based on the belief that there are truly separate beings in control ('is everything going alright', 'have we prepared everything well enough' etc) as on more profound levels it is seen that all fears (thoughts) are concepts arising in an unconditional formless no-thingness. (for lack of better words)
That is the great paradox of a 5-MeO-DMT journey: you can get to meet up with yourself as yourself. You as an apparent separate entity get to look as yourself as an infinite no-thing.
And this feeling - that you are all-there-is - has the capacity to show once and for all that there is NO DIFFERENCE between your separate experienced self and your expanded all-there-is self. This is ONLY A CONCEPT.
There is nothing of you separate needing to reunite with the whole. There are no pieces of your soul scattered through the Universe that have to be retrieved. There is no enlightenment.
You are whole as you are. The desire to come to full expression in this wholeness as an apparent separate form of it, is what drives us to explore deeper, look again and again. …
The shift in paradigm - 'I am a separate being made of matter' to 'I am all-there-is in no-form as infinite possibilities' - can be quite shocking.
Putin has never known himself, via 5-MeO-DMT, as an “infinite no-thing,” or as “all-there-is-in-no-form-as-infinite-possibilities,” choosing to adopt a separate identity as a temporary reference point. Instead, he and his cronies are trapped in the prison of their limited ego-identities, lacking any transcendent experience as a reference point. The ego believes that it can control, dominate, and achieve “victory.” With Putin and other Kremlin warmongers, I suspect this is probably a karmic condition: Whatever they chose to enact in their cycle of past lives brought them to this point. They kill, massacre, and torture because they are utterly frustrated, unable to change or evolve.
I read Fiona Hill’s excellent book, Mr Putin: Operative in the Kremlin, because I felt I needed more insight into this hideous person who may, if he doesn’t get what his childlike, bullying ego-mind feels it “deserves,” destroy civilization and kill all of us via nuclear war. The realization one gets from the book is that Putin is not just ruthless. Sadly, he is also a political genius who has reinvented himself repeatedly and skillfully. Hill calls him, with justification, “the ultimate international political performance artist.”
