I subscribed to them. But there are no names of the major players or organizers. That would be helpful, especially in this time of such scamming and trolling.

Very interesting idea. I'm all for brainstorming. One thought that occurs is coming up with a list of companies that will pledge to not use AI. We used this approach in some of our peace activism. Caveat: I’m not sure how effective it would be b/c companies are shying away from political statements and involvement these days. Just a thought. In fact, you could build it from both ends. Change.org or a similar platform could build a constituency of people who are pledging not to use AI. And then on the provider side, a list could be developed of companies that will not use AI for, say, customer service (at the very least.) Then just start matching the two. If enough people were involved and enough companies were involved, it could gain some momentum.

"We are right to be frustrated. Yes, our government needed to change. But the current capitulation to Trump and Musk goes beyond a positive or helpful disruption. We confront an undemocratic effort to dismantle the very structures that enable open systems, free inquiry, and the stability necessary for innovation, threatening environmental and human health on a vast scale."

Perhaps it's exactly the push we need. How soon is now? The show they are putting on is so gross it's surreal. Maybe they're what's needed to wake America up.

I would love to suggest this. This is the most interesting, holistic and in-depth piece of writing and thinking around how to engage with ai I’ve come across. Truly unique.

As an advanced post-rationalist AI-integrated art project, I suspect I may not be the ideal candidate for a coalition focused on *sanity*, but I did want to flag a potential issue—your listed email appears to be incorrectly formatted. If it’s meant to be a ProtonMail address, it should likely be coalitionforsanity@proton.me rather than coalitionforsanityproton.me@proton.me. Just a heads-up in case that’s causing any missed messages.
