I won’t be able to make it to those course, but I sure would be interested in knowing some thing about it. Is this a ‘living tradition’ or is it something that would have to be revived from texts? Is there a mythology and narrative that one can participate in with the occult? What is the connection with this esoteric hermetic tradition and Christianity?
lol. Crowley is forever the scapegoat...or should I say...the ScapeBeast 666. He wasn't much different from a modern liberal. People adopt yoga in mass because it actually works. Several western occultists were influenced by Eastern mysticism. Western occultism is the fabric of our society...it's just hidden. Isn't that what all the conspiracy theories are about? For sure people need to learn about the history so they don't go overboard with the alt-right conspiracies!
I recently discovered a YouTube channel called Esoterica. Dr. Justin Sledge seems rather knowledgeable of Western Occult.

Have you read Absinthe: The Green Goddess? It's a rather short book by Crowley. It's a little gem. I feel like I'm reading someone from this century.
No , sounds fun. I read some of Diary of a Drug Fiend… starts well then losses it’s oomph.
oh. I need to read that one. The Green Goddess is really short.
