Yeah, I wholeheartedly embrace the notion of radical change for various reasons, from the strain on the environment the current system demands, to the banality of warehouse education, on up to the psychopathy of class division. It's hard to envision modernity functioning without the cash incentive. I hedge my bets on the possibility that civilization scrapes past the 2020's (in 1977 I prophesied that this decade would be the collective crisis, when all the "vectors of the apocalypse's shit would hit the fan) and in 20 year waves, new generations will arrive on earth with the inherent natures that will desire to replant the forests, restore the proper parameters on "growth", give Death a seat at the Table of Life, and basically life to serve Mother Nature as the host she is. We've entered a 200 year period called the "Kingdom of AIR" which demands discernment. We are crossing the threshold to the 2160 year Age of Aquarius, which we can imagine began with the Declaration of Independence (the first bird in the tree top announcing the wind change of a new dawn.) Apocalypse reveals the tension necessary to tear the worlds apart, separating the Old and the New Ages (or Worlds). It is analogous to cell mitosis, but it occurs on a cultural-societal level. This decade will give us a real taste of that long slow division between the outmoded and corrupted core, and the fresh new mycellium growing from the outer fringes towards the core. A "collective unconscious narcissistic wound" (my term) defines the key to recovery, re-establishing a meaningful and realistic relationship with our home planet, the Great Mother- Earth. Traditional aboriginal cultures would initiate their adolescent members in rituals that included hearing the "male myths" which explain our rebirth involves acknowledging and serving the Great Mother...after our Youth has been ritually buried in the ordeal of initiation.
